Participation & privacy

Gospel Explorers is an unofficial conference activity for the Accra Ghana Christiansborg Stake. It is open to anyone with the link. Children under 13 should join and participate with a parent or guardian. The registration acknowledgement records that the notice was accepted; it does not verify a person’s age or guardian status.

What we save

Your chosen nickname, age range, optional selected ward, generated public alias, points, game progress, registration acknowledgement time, and activity time. We also save submitted gospel words, appreciations, and reports. Do not enter your full name, contact details, school, address, or other personal information.

What others can see

Rankings show generated Explorer aliases, age ranges, and points. They do not show your chosen private nickname. Signed-in moderators can see your nickname, age range, and selected ward to review submissions and address conference announcements. Ward averages appear only for configured wards with at least three participants. Approved gospel words and appreciation counts are public. Moderators can review submitted words and report counts. We show only the total number online, never a public list of who is present.

Private reflections

Listening notes, optional actions, drawings, and marked words stay in this tab’s session storage and are not sent to the server or shared in the word cloud. They survive a page refresh in the same tab. Signing out clears that account’s local notebook. Closing the tab ends that local session. On a shared device, sign out when finished.

Organizer announcements

Organizers can send messages to everyone, selected accounts, age groups, or wards. An active message pauses the recipient’s app and scored games until an organizer clears it, including after a refresh. Only messages addressed to you are returned to your browser. The app records which signed-in accounts displayed a message; this does not prove that a person read it. Messages cached in this tab stay visible during a temporary connection loss until clearance is confirmed. Cleared announcement history is kept for up to 30 days.

Optional achievement sharing

You can preview a badge containing your public Explorer alias, points, completed levels, and optionally your current group rank. It leaves out your private nickname, age, ward, account ID, and recovery code. The image is created in your browser. Nothing is posted automatically: you choose whether to save it, copy the message, or send it through your device’s share sheet.

Cookies & recovery codes

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in for up to seven days. Moderator cookies last one hour. We do not add advertising or analytics cookies. Save your private recovery code to return on another device. Anyone with that code can access your account. You can replace the code under “My account & privacy.” We store a hash of the code and session tokens.

Moderation

Every new word requires moderator approval before appearing publicly. Use “Report concern” on a word to flag it; three different participants’ reports hide it for review. This is not an emergency or safeguarding reporting channel. Speak directly to a trusted adult or conference organizer if you need help.

Deleting your account

Use “My account & privacy” to delete your profile, progress, submitted words, appreciations, and reports. You must be signed in, or restore access using your recovery code first. Ask a conference organizer in person if you need assistance. Inactive accounts and their contributions are removed after 30 days by default. Deployment operators must keep backup retention aligned with this period; restoring a backup can temporarily restore earlier records.

During the conference

Leadership: Saturday 11am–1pm. Adult session: Saturday 1:30–3:30pm. General session: Sunday 10am–noon. All times are Ghana time. Scored games pause during the Sunday general session. Quiet listening prompts and reflections remain available.

Updated 25 October 2026. This notice describes the application’s behavior. The organizing team must review it and confirm operational ownership before public launch.
